I’ve teased it with fleeting mentions or peeks for far too many years, but recently the skinny finally dropped on my completed film I EAT YOUR SKIN via Bloody-Disgusting. Scope the trailer and very subtle plot!

A group of international photographers journey to photograph a rare bird in the Philippines, the Black Shama. They are told the legend of an ancient warlord whose spirit is said to still roam the land. Ignoring the warnings, they travel deep into the jungle and set up camp. When one of them finds a fresh corpse clutching a strange talisman, he becomes host to the vengeful ghost and begins to prey on his fellow travelers.

Check the article out here. Some of the comments are downright hilarious. We only had the trailer and artwork from straight-line sales materials on hand, so since then my old collaborator Dustin Ferguson kicked in with a more grindhousish poster and trailer just for the horror crowd.

Warning: This movie may offend the squeamish.

Whereas usually I only accidentally offend… Just this past weekend I was at a party and explaining to a nice lady about my little guerrilla flick. When she asked the title, the answer I EAT YOUR SKIN sent her literally screaming and running away. Ah, your humble creative takes the hits doing the genre films that need to exist while leaving the more respectable fare to others.

Somehow, I survive.
